Interacting with the Camera (2022) is a collaboration where we introduced photography to young participants from Crest Academy and Newman Catholic College. As a team we collectively articulated that we wanted our collaboration with the participants to be an exchange, an interchange of knowledge, skill and shared, photographic experiences, with the participants. Our collective response to the brief for strategies for participation, centered around the autonomy and authorship of the work that the students, who we collaborated with, made.
